Press Release for Upcoming April 2013 Shows

ROSEVILLE, CA—Blue Line Arts is excited to present “Six Weeks of Clay.” This time of year brings the return of everyone’s favorite show Blue Line Arts, the “3rd Annual Totems and Plates Invitational,” accompanied by “CERAMACOM,” our open ceramic competition. 2013 brings the added twist of “America’s ClayFest,” formerly known as Feats of Clay to the Roseville area. All three shows will include varied styles of contemporary ceramic art.

This will be our 3rd annual invitational exhibition of over 80 plates and totems from Northern Californian artists who will present traditional forms in non-traditional ways; plates as paintings and totems as contemporary sculpture. Plates and Totems is a very popular show with a wide variety of techniques and subject matter and will be on display from April 20th to May 4th, 2013.


THE THIRD ANNUAL CERAMACOM, OPEN CERAMIC ART COMPETITION
This is our annual ceramics art competition, this year including all ceramic creations. This year we are honored to have juror Elaine O’Henry, Editor of Ceramics: Art and Perception/TECHNICA,L select the winning pieces in this stellar show. The prizes are also very exciting this year, with first place claiming both a cash prize and a solo exhibit in our WestPark Workshop Gallery in 2014.

AMERICA'S CLAYFEST
Formerly known as the Feats of Clay. The Art League of Lincoln will produce an International Ceramic Show called "America's ClayFest.” This year’s show will be juried by nationally recognized artist and teacher, Richard Shaw. Blue Line Arts is honored to host this year’s show from May 8th –June 1st, 2013 in our Coker Family Gallery.
