“Small Gems” Exhibit  Invites Holiday Shoppers to the Blue Line Gallery



ROSEVILLE, Calif., October 15, 2009—The Blue Line Gallery’s member gallery will feature a special exhibit of original artwork for sale during the holiday season:  small paintings and sculpture by sixteen local artists, none of the artwork larger than 12 x 12 inches.

The “Small Gems” exhibit will open at the Blue Line Gallery on November 10, in plenty of time for visitors to do their holiday gift shopping.  The exhibit features more than 30 diverse pieces by artists Patricia Abraham, Margot Comer, Barry Focha, Karen Fulk, Marilyn Heyman, Ursula Johnson, N. Totten Mack, Kanika Marshall, Donna Naes, Jackie Palmer, Shirley Perry, Cathy Rowe, Ann Saibeni, Myron Stephens, Cynthia Wellington and Jeri Wittbrod. 

Guests are invited to join the exhibiting artists in celebration at a special reception on November 21, 6:30-9:00 p.m., during 3rd Saturday Art Walk. The Saturday event will include special afternoon art activities for children (1-4pm) and the evening reception, with live music, refreshments and demonstrations by exhibiting artists.

ALSO AT THE GALLERY
Examples of young people’s “Poetry about Art” from the November 11 workshop will be displayed and celebrated on November 21 as well.  “The Art of the Pop-Up Book: The Red Dot Series by David A. Carter” continues in the Coker Family Gallery.  Carter’s pop-up books and greeting cards are available for purchase in the Gift Gallery, which also features original jewelry, pottery, greeting cards and more.
