MEDITATIONS AND MANDALAS
Blue Line Gallery – Cosmic, Creative and Calming


ROSEVILLE, CA, April 27, 2010—The Blue Line Gallery will feature “Meditations and Mandalas,” an exhibit of member artists’ work opening at the Blue Line Gallery in May.

“Meditations and Mandalas” will open to the public on May 7 with diverse interpretations of the theme by artists Elma Jella, mixed media; Elaine B. Rothwell, etching; Patricia Littlefield, fiber quilting and Gregory K. Morss, acrylic paint and automotive bondo texture. The show will also include two mandala paintings by Marty, a Folsom State Prison inmate.

In support of the “Meditations and Mandalas” theme, on May 15th the gallery will introduce the meditation practices of Clear Mind Zen. Novice Zen priest, Rev. KoMyo David Novotny, will mediate throughout the day beginning with an opening ceremony and chants at 10:00 a.m.,  including several instructional and question-and-answer periods and a closing ceremony at 8:30 p.m.  

Visitors are invited to join the exhibiting artists in an evening reception, May 15, 6:30–9:00 p.m., during 3rd Saturday Art Walk.
