ROSEVILLE
ARTS PREMIERE EVENT, LOTTERY FOR THE ARTS A SUCCESS!

ROSEVILLE, Calif., September 14, 2009—The Roseville Arts Board of Directors announced that its first ever “Lottery for the Arts” event held on Friday, September 12, 2009 raised over $17,000 to benefit its children’s and families’ arts programs taking place in the Blue Line Gallery in support of its mission: “creating a vibrant community for the arts.”

The evening was attended by enthusiastic patrons who had a wonderful time enjoying great food, wine, music, raffle prizes, live auctions, and the lottery itself.  In an email to Roseville Arts, Valerie & John Bowman stated, “The art lottery evening was the most fun we have had in ages! The event was so well organized. The food was good, the gallery looked great, the auctioneer, Kevin O’Callaghan was terrific and the energy was high and festive. Besides all that, we got one of our top five choices.  We’re already looking forward to next year’s Lottery for the Arts!”

Executive Director, Barbara Dolder stated, “This event was made possible through the generosity of artists, sponsors , and a dedicated Board of Directors who contributed to making the art lottery such a smashing success.  In these difficult economic times, we are indeed fortunate to have a supportive community that understands the vital need to keep the arts alive, not only for today, but for generations to come. “

In addition to the 104 donations of art that was included in the lottery, generous sponsors contributed to the event.  Sponsors included: Rabobank, Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Divine Desserts, Premier Laser Center & Med Spa, Tahoe Joe’s Famous Steak House, Jim & Diane Williams, Darla Yetter, Bright Beginnings Welcoming Service,  Julie Fielder, Mark Heggen, Mourier Land Investment Corporation, Noel Flynn Art & Frame Factory, Our Growing Concern, A Chef’s Table, Café Zorro, California Bank & Trust, Sue Kirstein, Cindy & Joe Strickland, and Gretchen Lindemann Tobin.
