Teens at Local Center “Dream Big”
Urban Artist Shane Grammer Leads Local Teens in Mural Project

ROSEVILLE, Calif., September 14, 2009—This month youth at the North Roseville R.E.C .Center (NRREC) will have the opportunity to join nationally-known urban  artist, Shane Grammer, in a mural project to enhance the Center’s High Street campus.

“DREAM BIG” is the graffiti tag selected for the giant mural, which will scan 20 feet across the center’s eight-foot-tall perimeter fence.  The center’s acronym NRREC will also be spelled out around the mural edge to proudly reinforce its focus on developing a positive future for neighborhood youth through Recreation, Education and Creativity.   Artist Grammer and representatives from the North Roseville R.E.C. Center and Roseville Arts Blue Line Gallery will meet with interested teens from the NRREC after school on Monday, September 21, to learn more about the artist’s work and his plan for their participation in the mural project. Participating youth will join Grammer and volunteers on September 22, from 3:00 until 8:00 pm, to complete the project.

Funding and in-kind donations for the mural project have been graciously provided by Shane Grammer, KW Cares from Keller Williams Realty, Roseville ARCONA, and Roseville Arts.
