Sacramento Airport’s Big Build Project
Public Art Administrator Presents at the Blue Line Gallery

ROSEVILLE, Calif., October 6, 2009—Shelly Willis, Public Art Administrator for the City and County of Sacramento, will speak at the Blue Line Gallery on November 5th  about the largest public art program in the County of Sacramento’s history—the Big Build project at the Sacramento International Airport.

The public is invited to the Blue Line Gallery on November 5, 7:00 p.m., where Shelly Willis will present the public art designs for Phases 1 and 2 of the Sacramento International Airport Big Build project, including artworks by Ned Kahn, Camille Utterback, Joan Moment, Donald Lipski, Christian Moeller and Lawrence Argent, among others. Willis will talk about the range of media, scale and content in the artwork designs—from a discrete interactive and multi-media piece located in the floor of the airport—to a 56 foot long suspended fiberglass sculpture. Attendees will learn about the artists, the development of their designs and how the artwork will be fabricated and installed.

Fees collected at the presentation will help support ongoing educational programs at Roseville Arts’ Blue Line Gallery.
