LOTTERY FOR THE ARTS—EVERYBODY WINS
EXHIBITION OPENS SEPTEMBER 1ST WITH EXCEPTIONAL SELECTION OF ART!
ROSEVILLE, Calif., August 24, 2009—Roseville Arts announced that more than 100 pieces of art valued at over $36,000 has been received from contributing artists to be included in its “Lottery for the Arts—Everybody Wins” event to take place on September 11, 2009. The art has been delivered to the Blue Line Gallery and will be on view beginning September 1 through September 10. "It's so exciting to see the depth of the selection of work artists delivered to the gallery for this event," said curator Beth Rohlfes, "You really can't lose in this Lottery. There is something here for everyone!"
During the exhibit, visitors will vote for their favorite piece—the largest vote getter will receive the “People’s Choice Award” and a cash prize.
Art selected for inclusion in the lottery represents a wide range of media and subject matter and may be viewed on Roseville Arts’ website: www.rosevillearts.org Along with each piece is a link to the artist’s website or Facebook page and a brief statement that provides the inspiration behind the art. Roseville Arts executive director, Barbara Dolder extended an invitation to visit the website to see the fabulous art, however “you don’t fully appreciate the impact of the piece without observing it in person. Visit the Blue Line, vote for your favorite piece, and at the same time purchase your Lottery ticket—remember EVERYBODY WINS!”
