POP IN FOR THE POP-UP WORKSHOP
AT THE BLUE LINE GALLERY
Learn from the master—David A. Carter!

ROSEVILLE, Calif., September 16, 2009 Artist and pop-up engineer David A. Carter will introduce basic pop-up designs and engineering tricks to help participants explore their own creative ideas in this hands-on workshop, designed for adults—teachers, parents, anyone 18 or older. In his career of 35 years, Carter has published more than 80 pop-up books. His exploration of ideas in recent years lead to the publication of The Red Dot Series, five pop-up books filled with colorful, non-representative, spontaneous Modern Art forms.  Pop-up sculpture from these books, including larger models, will be featured in “The Art of the Pop-Up Book” opening September 19 during the 3rd Saturday Art Walk at the Blue Line Gallery—Carter will be on hand during the opening to sign books 3-4pm & 6-7pm.  More about David Carter at www.popupbooks.com/.
